About Hart
This 147-acre park on 55,590-acre Lake Hartwell is named for Revolutionary War heroine Nancy Hart, who lived on Georgia's frontier. Now managed by the City of Hartwell as Hartwell Lakeside Park, the area offers swimming, boating, water skiing, and fishing for largemouth bass, striped bass, crappie, and rainbow trout. A 1.5-mile trail provides hiking and biking opportunities.
