About Mount Kanlaon

An active stratovolcano and the highest peak in the central Philippines at 2,435 m, straddling Negros Occidental and Negros Oriental. Its montane rainforest harbors numerous endemic species, with primary climbing access and the protected-area headquarters on the Negros Occidental side via La Carlota, La Castellana and Murcia.
