Stonewall National Monument commemorates the birthplace of the modern LGBTQ rights movement in Greenwich Village, Manhattan. Managed by the National Park Service, the monument preserves the site of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising at the Stonewall Inn. The monument includes Christopher Park and surrounding streets where historic protests occurred that catalyzed the fight for LGBTQ equality.
