About Ni'iinlii Njik (Fishing Branch) Territorial Park
Ni'iinlii Njik means 'where salmon spawn' in the Gwich'in language. The park features a unique ecosystem with remarkable limestone caves, year-round open water, and opportunities to view grizzly bears fishing for salmon. Jointly managed by Yukon government and Vuntut Gwitchin government. Located in northern Yukon. Established in 1999 (working with Yukon government) and 2000 (through Vuntut Gwich'in First Nations land claims). Includes Habitat Protection Area
