Located 110 km southeast of Fort Vermilion and sharing its eastern border with Wood Buffalo National Park, this 26.2 km² boreal forest landscape features mixedwood forests, sulphur springs, limestone caves, oxbow lakes, and creek rapids. The area provides critical habitat for lynx, wolverines, wood bison, and woodland caribou of the Red Earth range.
