About Taklong Island

A group of islands and surrounding waters off Nueva Valencia, Guimaras, protecting coral reefs, mangroves and seagrass beds. Originally proclaimed a national marine reserve in 1990, it was reclassified in 2025 as the Taklong and Tando Group of Islands Natural Park.
