About Yellow Quill Provincial Park
A small recreational park near Portage la Prairie named after Chief Yellow Quill, a Saulteaux First Nations leader from the late 1800s. The park features a fully-fenced 2.5 acre off-leash dog area with amenities including waste bags, picnic tables, washroom facilities, and garbage bins. Chief Yellow Quill and his people were known for traveling the Assiniboine River and the Yellow Quill Trail that ran parallel to it.
