About Wolfe Creek Meteorite Crater
Home to the world's second largest meteorite crater from which fragments have been collected, the 880-metre-wide crater was formed by a 14,000-tonne meteorite less than 120,000 years ago. Known as Kandimalal to the Jaru people, multiple Dreaming stories explain its formation.
