About Trappist Monastery Provincial Heritage Park
Located in the St. Norbert area of Winnipeg, this small heritage park preserves the ruins of a Trappist monastery established in 1892 by five members of the Trappist Order from the Abbey of Bellefontaine, France. The monastery ruins were designated a provincial heritage site in 1988 and the area became a provincial park in 2002.
