Created in 1981 when northern part of Mont-Tremblant Park was separated (originally 1,655 km²). In 1990, 261 km² returned to Mont-Tremblant National Park, resulting in current size. Located north of Mont-Tremblant National Park. Divided between two watersheds: Rouge River (west) and Matawin River (northeast).
