About Manigotagan River Provincial Park
Manigotagan River Provincial Park was designated as a provincial park by the Government of Manitoba on December 1, 2004, making it the 80th provincial park in Manitoba. The park encompasses over 99% backcountry with less than one percent (16 hectares) classified as recreational development. The park consists of a corridor stretching 45 kilometers from the northwestern tip of Nopiming Provincial Park downstream, ending just outside the community of Manigotagan. It is considered to be a Class II protected area under the IUCN protected area management categories.
