This Ramsar-listed wetland of international importance lies 110km northwest of Innamincka in South Australia's far northeast. A pristine water world of channels, waterholes, lakes, and floodplains, the park is internationally recognized for its diverse waterbird populations. Co-managed with the Yandruwandha Yawarrawarrka peoples, the park offers a genuine wilderness experience with no motorboats, generators, or fishing permitted. Northern river red gums line permanent waters, while sand dunes up to 15 metres tall frame the landscape.
