About Gully Lake Wilderness Area
Gully Lake Wilderness Area protects the largest remaining patch of mature forest in the Truro-Pictou area of north-central Nova Scotia. Covering 3,991 hectares of Cobequid Mountain woodlands, this area features hardwood and mixed forest with elevations exceeding 300 meters. The forest provides critical habitat for endangered mainland moose and supports a well-developed trail system managed by Cobequid Eco-trails Society.
