About Gawler Ranges
This 1,633 square kilometre park lies 350km northwest of Adelaide in the Eyre Peninsula's outback, protecting spectacular volcanic rock formations over 1.5 billion years old. The famous Organ Pipes, Kolay Mirica Falls, and Yandinga Falls showcase the region's dramatic geology. Home to over 400 plant species and 21 rare and endangered animals including yellow-footed rock-wallabies and Australia's only protected population of short-tailed grass wrens, the remote park offers exceptional stargazing with zero light pollution.
