Fort Smith Mission Heritage Park - all that remains of original 151-acre Oblate Catholic Mission in centre of Fort Smith. Fort Smith constructed 1874 at northern rapids on Slave River. Roman Catholic Mission moved here 1876. For century (1876-early 1980s), Roman Catholic Church operated mission to entire Western Arctic from here. Features historic buildings and grotto from Oblate Catholic Mission. Located Fort Smith.
