About Fisher Bay Provincial Park

Located along the western shore of Lake Winnipeg near the mouth of the Fisher River, about 200 kilometres north of Winnipeg. The park includes sandy beaches, treed shorelines, old-growth forest, muskeg and bog landscapes with diverse wildlife including moose, white-tailed deer, elk, black bear, timber wolf, lynx, and provides critical habitat for endangered piping plover and up to 35,000 hibernating bats. The land continues to be used by the Fisher River Cree Nation for traditional activities.
