Silver Sands State Park

State Park - Connecticut, United States

Connecticut's fourth shoreline park established 1960. State acquired land after Hurricane Diane devastated area in 1955. Features beach, dunes, restored salt marsh, woods, plus 14-acre Charles Island bird sanctuary.
