Elk Island Provincial Park

Provincial Park - Manitoba, Canada

Located 32 km north of Grand Beach across the estuary of the Winnipeg River in Lake Winnipeg, Elk Island is accessible only by boat, situated 1.2 km from the mainland. The island park was protected between 1970-1974 as part of Grand Beach Provincial Park before being designated separately as an IUCN Category III protected area.
