About Qaidam Saxaul Forest

Protects the world's highest-elevation saxaul (Haloxylon) forests in the Qaidam Basin, spanning Delingha, Wulan, and Dulan counties. These drought-resistant desert forests stabilize sand dunes and maintain fragile desert ecosystems at elevations above 2,700m in one of China's most arid landscapes.
