Wonderful Bridges (Marvelous Bridges)

Wonderful Bridges (Marvelous Bridges), known in Bulgarian as Chudnite Mostove, is a natural monument in Smolyan Province in the central western Rhodope Mountains. This site features natural rock arch formations developed in the marble and crystalline limestone geology of the Rhodope massif. The designation protects natural bridge formations characteristic of the Rhodope karst landscape, where cave systems formed by underground watercourses have partially collapsed to leave impressive arches spanning stream gorges. Smolyan Province is one of Bulgaria's most scenic mountain areas, and the Wonderful Bridges natural monument represents one of its most distinctive geological features, drawing visitors from across the country.

The natural arch formations and surrounding Rhodope forest of Smolyan Province support wildlife typical of mid-elevation mountain habitats.
