About Wooroloo

Wooroloo Regional Park is a 994-hectare bushland reserve on the Darling Scarp northeast of Perth, protecting jarrah-marri forest and heath in the Mundaring-Swan View area. The park contributes to the Perth Hills corridor of forested reserves connecting the metropolitan area to the broader Darling Range. It is managed by DBCA in partnership with local government.

Wildlife Ecosystems

Wooroloo supports jarrah forest fauna: western grey kangaroos, brush wallabies, short-beaked echidnas, quendas, and woodland birds including Carnaby's black-cockatoo. The park provides wildlife connectivity in the Perth Hills reserve network. Tiger snakes and bobtail lizards inhabit the forest understorey.

Flora Ecosystems

Jarrah (E. marginata) and marri (C. calophylla) form the dominant forest. Banksia and proteaceous understorey provides habitat for wildlife and spring wildflowers. The park is within the Southwest Australian Floristic Region.
